What's new in the app?

  • Clientside improvements

1. New attribution behaviour for website events

Historically, the UTM values have only been associated with events if they're present in the URL. Mixpanel recently changed this behaviour so that the attribution events are passed with all events as super properties. What this means is that even if there are no UTM values in the URL, they'll still be associated with the events that the user generates. We changed Vendo's tracking behaviour to match this behaviour.

2. Five New UTM properties

We worked with Mixpanel to start tracking utm_id, utm_source_platform, utm_campaign_id, utm_creative_format, and utm_marketing_tactic. These UTM properties will allow you to pass more information without having to cram it into the five standard UTMs.

3. Updated Browser, Device and OS categorisations

We've updated the categorisation rules to match Mixpanel SDK exactly.

We are working on some exciting stuff to make Mixpanel even more useful for you. More on this coming soon!

That's all for now. We are working on setting up some new events to provide you with more insights soon!
