Connect Microsoft Teams notifications

Send workspace notifications to a Microsoft Teams channel. Create a Workflow in Teams, then connect its webhook URL in Vendo. You need permission to manage settings in the Vendo workspace.

Create the Teams Workflow

1. In Teams, open the channel that should receive notifications.
2. Click … → Workflows beside the channel.
3. Select Send webhook alerts to a channel.
4. If asked who can trigger the workflow, select Anyone. Vendo uses the secret webhook URL to send messages without Microsoft sign-in.
5. Confirm the team and channel, then click Save.
6. Copy the generated webhook URL.

Treat this URL like a password. Paste it directly into Vendo. Do not share it in chat or email.

Add a workflow co-owner in Teams so someone else can maintain it if its creator leaves.

Connect it in Vendo

1. Open the intended Vendo workspace and go to Workspace → Notification Channels in Settings.
2. Click Connect beside Microsoft Teams.
3. Enter a Destination label, such as Workspace notifications.
4. Paste the URL into Workflow webhook URL, then click Connect. Vendo stores the URL encrypted.
5. Click Test, then check your Teams channel for the Vendo test message.

A successful test request does not confirm that the message appeared in Teams. Check the channel before relying on the connection.

Choose Microsoft Teams for the event types you want to receive and save your preferences. Workspace quiet hours apply to regular notification delivery.

If something does not work

• Workflows is missing: ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to allow the Workflows app.
• The test fails: check that you copied the full webhook URL and chose Anyone for authentication.
• The test is accepted but nothing appears: open the workflow’s run history in Teams or Power Automate. Check for a failed posting step and confirm its destination channel.
• Tests arrive but regular notifications do not: check the Teams event choices and workspace quiet hours in Vendo.
