Find Amplitude API Credentials

This guide walks through finding your Amplitude API Key and Secret Key, which are required to connect Amplitude as a destination in Vendo.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to Amplitude — Go to amplitude.com  and sign in to your account.
  2. Open Settings — Click the gear icon or navigate to Settings in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Select your Project — Under Projects, click on the project you want to connect to Vendo.
  4. Find the General section — On the project settings page, scroll to the General section.
  5. Copy your API Key — The API Key is displayed in plain text. Copy it.
  6. Copy your Secret Key — The Secret Key is displayed below the API Key. Copy it.

Data Center Region

Amplitude operates two data center regions. Select the one that matches your Amplitude project:

You can check your project’s data center in Settings > Organization Settings > Data Center.

Important: You will need the API Key, Secret Key, and correct data center region when configuring the Amplitude destination in Vendo. Using the wrong region will result in authentication errors.

Permissions

The API Key and Secret Key pair provides full read and write access to the project. Ensure you’re copying credentials from the correct project.
