Use Vendo's Agent to investigate data, create durable workspace artifacts, and operate supported workflows with account-scoped tools.

The Agent is Vendo’s conversational workspace. It combines your team context, data catalog, warehouse, and permission-scoped platform tools so answers can be grounded in the account you are currently using.
Open Agent from Home in the top menu. You can also use the Agent panel from supported pages when you want the conversation to include the current page context.
What you can do

How it works
The Agent chooses tools based on your request, account membership, permissions, enabled features, and whether the current surface allows writes. Tool availability changes as Vendo adds capabilities, so the Agent’s tool or slash-command menu is the live source of truth.
A typical request follows this pattern:
- The Agent identifies the relevant workspace data and tools.
- It inspects schemas or resource state before taking a dependent action.
- It runs the query or tool and shows progress in the conversation.
- Results appear in chat or as a canvas artifact such as a table, chart, report, or model.
- You review any durable or operational change before relying on it.
Surfaces
- Agent workspace — full conversation, session history, model picker, and canvas.
- Page panel — contextual help from pages that register their current data or editor state.
- External clients — the same account-scoped platform capabilities are available through the MCP Server, subject to the client’s approved scope.
Models
The model picker shows the models currently available to your account. Availability depends on platform-provided models, provider configuration, account preferences, and any bring-your-own-key (BYOK) credentials.
Manage providers and model availability in Workspace Settings → AI Models. A model name in these docs does not guarantee that the model is available. The model picker in the app is the source of truth.
Access and safety
- Warehouse exploration uses read-only query paths.
- Resource access is scoped to the active team account.
- Mutation tools are available only when the user, account, and current access mode allow them.
- Tool results can contain text from customers or other users. Review proposed actions for prompt injection or incorrect instructions.
- Generated analysis is evidence to review, not a substitute for checking the underlying data and business definition.
