Measurement and Budget

Analyze cross-channel advertising performance and prepare budget plans without implying automatic platform changes.

Last reviewed July 13, 2026

Vendo’s Measurement area brings cross-channel performance, budget planning, and experimental optimization tools together. Open Data → Measurement and choose the relevant view. The older /optimization route redirects users toward the current Measurement surfaces.

Current Surfaces

SurfacePurpose
OverviewReview measurement readiness and available analyses
Cross ChannelCompare unified advertising performance
LTVExplore customer value and cohorts
MethodologiesDefine the rules used to interpret measurement

BudgetAnalyze paid-media performance and prepare budget plans

The exact set can vary as Measurement features graduate from Labs. Use the in-app navigation as the current inventory.

Prepare the Data

Before interpreting a cross-channel result:

  1. Connect the advertising platforms in scope as sources.
  2. Confirm recent syncs completed successfully.
  3. Check workspace currency, timezone, and attribution assumptions.
  4. Compare a recent period with each platform’s own totals.
  5. Document known gaps, such as missing conversion values or incomplete history.

A combined report is only as reliable as its source coverage and definitions. Differences between Vendo and a platform UI can come from timezone, currency, attribution window, late conversions, or metric definitions.

Use the Budget Workspace

The Budget surface can include overview metrics, performance drill-downs, saved budget plans, recommendations, entity data, a change log, scenario modelling, and configuration. Availability depends on connected platforms and workspace setup.

Use it to:

  • compare spend, revenue, ROAS, CPA, and conversion trends;
  • save a total budget and platform allocations;
  • review pacing against a saved plan;
  • explore a hypothetical allocation before committing to it;
  • record whether an optimization recommendation was accepted or dismissed;
  • inspect logged budget or bid change requests.

Important Execution Boundary

Saving a plan, accepting a recommendation, or submitting a budget or bid edit does not change the advertising platform. The current change endpoint creates a pending audit record and explicitly does not execute the change upstream.

Apply an approved change in the advertising platform itself, then record and verify the result. Do not describe Vendo’s pending or applied UI state as proof of a platform-side mutation unless the platform confirms it.

Review a Recommendation

Treat generated recommendations as analysis, not instructions:

  1. Check the comparison period and source completeness.
  2. Confirm the metric definition and attribution assumptions.
  3. Inspect whether seasonality, promotions, or tracking changes explain the result.
  4. Model a conservative scenario.
  5. Obtain the required approval.
  6. Apply the change in the platform.
  7. Record the decision and monitor the agreed KPI.
